Former President Barack Obama will be visiting the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign next Friday, Sept. 7, according to The News-Gazette.
Obama will receive the Paul H. Douglas Award for Ethics in Government from the UI System’s Institute of Government and Public Affairs.
He’ll be speaking at Foellinger Auditorium at 11 a.m., with tickets required for entry. Tickets will be distributed to UI students.
It will also be live-streamed on the UI website.
Maybe send the football team in there the day before the second game of the season against Western Illinois to hype them up?
