CHICAGO — The influential sportscaster hopes to see his favorite coach honored. In a big way.
Ryan Baker was a manager for Lou Henson’s Flyin’ Illini during the 1988-89 season. He saw firsthand the impact Henson had on the school and the program.
Many have suggested the floor at the renovated State Farm Center be named Lou Henson Court.
Baker simply wants an honor to be in a “very visible place.”
“Lou has earned and deserves to have his legacy in place for people to see,” WBBM anchor Baker said. “He’s the winningest coach in school history.
