Asmussen: Health woes can't slow Lou Henson

The voice is so recognizable. And so great to hear again.

On Saturday morning, Illinois coaching legend Lou Henson made an appearance at the WDWS studios to be on the weekly show with Loren Tate and Michael Kiser.

He sounded like his usual self. Optimistic. Friendly. Funny.

First, Henson matter-of-factly laid out his current health issues.

“Here about three, three-and-a-half weeks ago, I was having chills and trembling a little bit,” Henson said. “They took me to Carle. I spent the first week down there running tests.

“All the tests came back negative and you’d think, ‘Wow, boy, that is really positive.
