URBANA — No surprise Perry Greene has a hole-in-one to his credit. (Actually three.)
For the Stone Creek course superintendent, it's in the blood.
His dad, Gene, has 10 of them. His late mom, Carol, had four in one calendar year.
That was good enough to get her a write-up in Golf Digest and a place in "Ripley's Believe It Or Not."
"We're kind of a hole-in-one family," Greene said. "Mom and Dad were both good players. They were club champions for years. That's how I got in the golf business."
Now 56, Greene didn't get his first ace until his mid-30s.
