Ron Turner really needs to work on his grudge game.
After a school fires you, which Illinois did to Turner in 2004, you aren’t supposed to come back and help the place.
Who does that? Nobody. Except Turner.
In the last couple months, the eight-year coach endorsed Josh Whitman as athletic director introduced Whitman to Lovie Smith and saved the beloved/iconic custard stand in town.
And Turner doesn’t even live here anymore. On Monday, he was in south Florida, enjoying the warmth and proximity to the beach.
Turner is part of an Illini-centric group that is buying Jarling’s Custard Cup.
