A member of Iowa’s coaching staff, graduate assistant D.J. Hernandez, is dealing with a major off-the-field issue. His brother Aaron, a former tight end for the New England Patriots, was convicted of first-degree murder Wednesday.
“All you can do is lend support,” Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz said. “It’s a very tough thing for D.J. to go through. D.J. is a tremendous young man.
