CHAMPAIGN — Illinois is 2 for 2 on unofficial visits by in-state 2019 prospects and scholarships offered in the past week. After offering Westchester St. Joseph point guard Marquise Walker on Saturday, the Illini did the same to Belleville West power forward E.J. Liddell following his unofficial stop on campus Wednesday.
Liddell, a 6-foot-7 power forward, is Illinois’ third 2019 recruiting target along with Walker and La Lumiere point guard Tyger Campbell. The Illini are also the first offer for the rising sophomore at Belleville West.
Liddell was a 2016 News-Gazette All-State honorable mention selection in April after his first season for the Maroons (14-14).
