CHAMPAIGN — Running and offensive lineman don't necessarily go hand in hand.
But this aspect is one Nick Allegretti has experienced more of this summer than at any other point in his Illinois football career.
"Our cardio shape right now is better than it is at the end of most summers," said Allegretti, a fifth-year senior and two-year starter for the Illini.
The Illini will run some more, lift some weights and perform other strongman feats at 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 8 as part of the seventh annual Lift for Life event Illinois will hold at Memorial Stadium.
