The search committee for the next athletic director at the University of Illinois will be chaired by Matt Wheeler, a professor of animal sciences and a faculty athletic representative.
The announcement was made Friday morning by Interim Chancellor Barbara Wilson.
The committee includes former Illini football player Mike Bass; Keiko Price, associate athletic director for academic services; UI soccer coach Janet Rayfield; Howard Milton, associate director of athletics for advancement; UI alumn Richard Stockton, an attorney and a member of the athletics board; Judge Dan Flannell, an Illinois alumn and chief judge in the Illinois Sixth Judicial Circuit Court; and current UI softball player Nicole Evans.
