TOLONO — Ethan Reifsteck will stand in a sea of runners when he lines up for the 5K and 10K races at the Christie Clinic Illinois Marathon this weekend. At 9 years old, his head won’t poke above his adult peers around him.
But one of the smallest runners in the races will stand out from the pack, his mother knows.
Christina Reifsteck will likely let out a chuckle as her son twirls in circles and touches the ground. And she, her husband Brandon and their son won’t care as others look at him quizzically.
“We just kind of laugh it off,” Christina said.
