2016 defensive back Harvey Clayton Jr. commits to Illinois over Louisville, Temple

Fighting Illini football's busy day isn't over. Via his Twitter account, Florida defensive back/wide receiver Harvey Clayton Jr. announced his verbal commitment to Illinois. The six-foot-two, 187 lb. prospect is rated as a two-star recruit by Scout and he held scholarship offers from Louisville and Temple, among others.

Clayton is Illinois' fourth verbal commitment of the day; the others are Three-star offensive lineman Eddy Fish, three-star linebacker De'le Harding, and three-star defensive lineman Izon Pulley.
