IRVINE, Calif. – The Idaho women's tennis team fell 4-2 to the University of California-Irvine Saturday afternoon at Anteater Tennis Stadium.
To begin the match UC Irvine gained a 1-0 advantage, winning two doubles matches at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions. The third doubles match went unfinished.
The Vandals battled to the end but came up short in singles play. Ke Syuan Jhang evened the score at 1-1 after picking up the first singles win for Idaho. The freshman defeated Alyssia Fossorier, 6-3, 6-1, in the No. 3 spot.
