Idaho women’s basketball team lost the championship game in the Warner Center Marriott Thanksgiving Classic against Texas Christian University 86-76 Saturday.
The second quarter threw the Vandals as they missed important shots that allowed TCU to go on a 21-7 run in the first seven minutes of the first quarter. TCU took the lead early and never let it go.
“I thought we attacked their pressure right from the start. I thought we did a great job of moving the basketball,” Idaho head coach Jon Newlee said in a news release. “Everyone was getting their looks. Geri started out extremely well.
