CHENEY, Wash. – Idaho fell in three sets to Eastern Washington on Friday night at Reece Court.
The Eagles sprinted out of the gates, jumping to a seven-point advantage before the Vandals responded. Eastern Washington hit .700 with six aces, a mark Idaho struggled to match. EWU scored six straight to ice the set, taking it 25-4.
The second began with a strong Zuzanna Wiecorek kill, followed by a five-point Eagle run. After falling behind 5-1, the Vandals crawled back within two thanks to a block from junior Julia Dickeson. Eastern responded with an 8-1 run before a Vandal timeout and never looked back, winning 25-11.
