SPOKANE, Wash. – Another spring game, another shutout. Idaho soccer made the quick trip up North on Monday, taking down the boys '02 Spokane Sounders, 1-0, on a cold night at the Dwight Merkel Sports Complex.
"It was great," said head coach Derek Pittman. "It was exactly what we were looking for coming up to Spokane to play the boys. The speed of play, their ability to close down spaces and make our players have to make quicker decisions was absolutely what we needed. I'm really proud of our players and how we defended and got out in transition to get the goal that won the game.
