PORTLAND, Ore. – Another great second half helped give Idaho (17-10, 9-5 BSC) the come-from-behind win at Portland State (8-16, 4-9 BSC), 80-74, on Thursday night.
“I challenged them a little bit,” said head men’s basketball coach Don Verlin. “I just told them that we need to be who we are. We showed that in the second half, with our defensive numbers. Our guys really picked it up, really did a great job. We had a number of guys that came off the bench and played really well.”
As has been the case all season, the Vandals came out of the break with fire, reclaiming the lead in the opening minutes behind a quick 14-6 run.
