MOSCOW, Idaho – The Idaho Vandals (4-11-2, 1-4-2 BSC) closed out the home schedule with a thrilling 2-1 overtime win over Southern Utah (0-14-1, 0-6-1 BSC) on Senior Day on Sunday afternoon.
With 17 seconds remaining in the first overtime period, the Vandals earned a free kick outside of the box. Taylor Brust stepped up and for the second time in two games, scored off a free kick, this time a rocket into the right corner of the net. The goal sealed the extra time win for Idaho.
Idaho took the initial lead just before halftime.
