FLAGSTAFF, Ariz.—Northern Arizona prevailed in the battle of Big Sky unbeatens on Sunday. NAU edged Idaho 4-3, handing Idaho its first league loss.
The loss dropped Idaho to 6-1 in conference play with four Big Sky matches left on the slate. The Vandals sit third in the conference behind Northern Arizona (8-0) and Montana State (7-0).
The Lumberjacks gained the early 1-0 advantage, taking two of the three doubles matches to open play. Jessica Brzozowska and Claire Yang claimed Idaho's win at No. 3, giving each side a win.
