Vandals Shine at WAR IX

SPOKANE, Wash. – The Idaho track and field team got two wins at the WAR IX in Spokane on Saturday and saw several other athletes meet qualifying standards for the Big Sky Championships that are just one month away.

Kolcie Bates won the hammer throw with a career-best toss of 51.82 meters. Bates also took fourth in the discus throw with a season-best throw of 42.55 meters.

Two Vandals cracked the top-five in the women’s 400-meter dash. Meghan Palesch earned second with a time of 59.08 seconds, while Wednesday Walton placed fifth at 59.
