POCATELLO, Idaho – Nate Thomas rushed for 171 yards on 21 carries, Jack Layne passed for 234 yards and three touchdowns and Andrew Marshall had 181 kick return yards and a touchdown while the Vandal defense added three interceptions as Idaho rolled to a 40-17 win over Idaho State Saturday at the ICCU Dome in Pocatello.
The Vandals scored on their first two drives and built a 10-0 lead before Idaho State responded with a touchdown late in the second quarter, but a Marshall kick return put Idaho in position for a quick touchdown.
