WALLA WALLA, Wash.—The Idaho women’s tennis team scored a pair of 6-1 wins on Saturday over Lewis Clark State College and Whitman College. The Vandals excelled in singles competition, winning 10 of 12 matches on the day.
Idaho scored the doubles point over LCSC with wins from Marianna Petrei, Belen Barcenilla and the pair of Rita Bermudez and Maria Tavares.
Bermudez earned the team’s first singles win on the No. 5 court. She defeated Hannah Uhlenkott, 6-1, 6-1. Claire Yang put Idaho up 3-0 win her 6-1, 6-0 win over Kianna Arthur.
