CHENEY, Wash. – The Idaho women's soccer team (5-5-0, 5-3-0 BSC) fell, 2-0, at Eastern Washington (4-3-2, 3-1-2 BSC) on Sunday afternoon, snapping a five-game winning streak. The game was the final regular season match for the Vandals.
The Vandals came out fast in the beginning of the game, taking the first three shots including two on goal. However, the home side began to assert some control in the ninth minute, pushing into the offensive zone and getting some shots off. In the 16th minute, McKaley Goffard had the ball fall to her in the box and she was able to beat her defender and put the ball past Vandal keeper Avrie Fox to put the Eagles up, 1-0.
