BERKELEY, Calif. – Four Vandals scored in double figures and Idaho women's basketball shot 44.8% from the field, but Cal outscored the Vandals 20-11 in the third quarter and closed out the 84-71 win Wednesday evening at Haas Pavilion.
The two teams battled back and forth for much of the first half. Sydney Gandy hit a three-pointer with 3:09 left in the second quarter to tie the game at 34-34. Cal then went on an 11-2 run to build a 45-36 lead before Jordan Allred hit a three-pointer to cut the lead to 45-39 at the half.
