BOSIE, Idaho – The University of Idaho men's basketball team fell just short to Southern Utah, 75-69 in the first round of the Big Sky Tournament on Wednesday afternoon. The Thunderbirds jumped out to an 8-2 lead to begin the game, but the Vandals battled back to trail 29-27 at the half. Senior Trevon Allen led the Vandals with 17 first-half points. Idaho fought back to take the lead 64-63 with 5:21 to play in the second half following a three-pointer from Ja'Vary Christmas. The Thunderbirds would pull away in the final minute, advancing to the quarterfinal and defeating the Vandals, 75-69.
