POCATELLO, Idaho – Idaho football suffered a 62-28 loss to Idaho State Saturday, at Holt Arena in Pocatello. The Vandals (2-3, 1-2 Big Sky) scored first, but the Bengals (4-1, 3-0 Big Sky) rattled off 28 unanswered points before taking a 35-14 lead into halftime.
Idaho State quarterback Tanner Gueller threw for 492 yards and eight touchdowns. Gueller connected on 10 passes of 20 yards or more, including touchdowns of 87 and 62 yards. The 62-yard score came with 1:27 left before the half, less than two minutes after the Vandals had cut the deficit to 28-14.
