FULLERTON, Calif. - Idaho volleyball came up short in a five-set match Friday, against UC Riverside. The Vandals (5-6) took the first and third sets, but ultimately dropped a tight match 24-26, 25-22, 22-25, 25-21, 15-13.
Senior Kaela Straw led the Vandals with 19 kills on a team-best .320 hitting percentage. Sarah Sharp recorded 17 kills on a team-high 54 swings. Reece Carman added 15 kills and four total blocks.
Nine team blocks from Idaho kept the Vandals in the match. Nikki Ball led the way with six total blocks.
