Vandals Fall at WSU

PULLMAN, Wash.—Idaho women's tennis battled to the very end with cross-border rival Washington State on Sunday. The Vandals were unable to get a win in the final three matches, falling 5-2.

Idaho (6-4, 4-0 BSC) tied the match at 2-2 at the open of singles play. Sophomore Marianna Petrei picked up her seventh win of the season. She dispatched of WSU's Barboa Michalkova, 6-3, 6-1, to claim Idaho's first point. Maria Tavares claimed Idaho's second win at No. 4. She dropped the first set 6-4, bouncing back to win the next two sets, 6-4, 6-3.
