CHENEY, Wash. – Idaho football battled on Saturday but ultimately fell, 38-31, to No. 9 Eastern Washington on the road. The loss drops the Vandals to 2-3 on the season, while the Eagles move to 5-1.
EWU jumped out to a quick 7-0 advantage but Idaho responded with two scores to go up 14-7 after the first quarter of action. The Eagles leveled the score at 17 heading into the break.
Logan Kendall got the Vandals up, 24-17, early in the third quarter, but the Eagles leveled the score moments later. Zach Borisch found the end one for his second touchdown of the game late in the third to give Idaho a 31-24 lead through three.
