BOISE—The night started outdoors at the Appleton Outdoor Tennis Center and finished up inside the Boas Tennis Center as the Vandals lost to in-state rival Boise State on Friday, 4-0.
“I was happy with the way the guys fought tonight,” head coach Abid Akbar said. “Despite the loss I think we played them very tough. Boise State is a good team. I think we are still peaking at the right time.”
Boise State (18-9) opened the match, its second of the day, winning the doubles point. The Broncos got wins on the top two courts.
