CHENEY, Wash. – Idaho dominated down the stretch to defeat Eastern Washington in five sets on Friday afternoon in Cheney. The Vandals dropped the first two, and looked down for the count in the fourth, but kept the pressure on for the come-from-behind victory.
Avery Housley led the Vandals with 19 kills and 17 digs. Kennedy Warren added 14. Travel Morris hit .583 with seven kills.
Things were close to start in the first set before a 9-1 run by EWU gave the Eagles control at 21-11. Idaho traded points the rest of the set, ultimately falling 25-15.
