FULLERTON, Calif. – The Fullerton Classic did not get out to the start that Idaho volleyball (5-5) had hoped for, with the Vandals falling to San Francisco (5-4) in straight sets.
led Idaho with eight kills, but hit just .067 on the day. hit .267 with six kills. As a team, the Vandals hit .105, decidedly their lowest hitting percentage of the season. Defensively the vandals did well, picking up nine total team blocks and holding the Dons to hitting .142.
Idaho seemed the aggressor in the opening set. After each team felt out the other to get things started, the Vandals went on a tear to get up, 20-14.
