LEWISTON, Idaho -- The University of Idaho Women's tennis team opened Big Sky Conference action with a 5-2 win over Montana State on Saturday afternoon.
The Vandals won all three matches in doubles and captured four out of six singles matches to capture a 5-2 victory.
Jayanne Palma and Melissa Huchet started off doubles action in the No. 2 spot, earning a 6-3 win over JJ Chen and Maria Villarejo. Andrea Redondo and Saffron Dowse wrapped up the doubles point after defeating Jazmin Lerman and Andrea Cuquerella 6-4 to put the Vandals up 1-0 moving into singles play.
