MOSCOW, Idaho - A flurry of first-half goals propelled Idaho (2-1) to a 3-0 victory over Oregon Tech on Friday in the Kibbie Dome.
Sophomore Maddie Haas found herself in the right place at the right time for the second game in a row to unlock the scoring for the Vandals, who outshot the Owls in the game, 18-3.
Senior Myah Merino sped down the left flank and slipped behind the defense in the 21st minute. Her low shot was saved, but the rebound trickled into the six-yard box and Haas was in the perfect spot to put it in for the opening goal at 21:01.
