Idaho basketball had one more test in front of them before preparing for the annual Big Sky Conference Tournament in Boise, in the form of the Montana State Bobcats on their home court, Worthington Arena in the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse.
The first half started out as neck-and-neck as you could find, with the Vandals giving the surging Bobcats fits with tough work inside the paint and a physical defensive mindset. At one point down 27-25, the shots weren't falling for Idaho for the last few minutes of the half, allowing Montana State to take advantage of some open looks to earn a 41-31 lead at the break.
