PULLMAN, Wash. - Idaho women's swimming and diving got its first taste of head-to-head team competition Friday, at the WSU Relays hosted by Washington State. The meet, featuring the host Cougars, Nevada and San Diego State, consisted of 10 relay events. The Vandals finished fourth in the team standings, which took into account scoring from the top six finishing teams in each race.
Idaho's top team finished ahead of Washington State's top team in each of the first three events. Sophomore Katie Hale swam on two of those relay teams, leading off the 3x50-yard butterfly and anchoring the 3x50-yard backstroke.
