SACRAMENTO – The Idaho Vandal women's basketball team turned the ball over 24 times and gave up a late lead, falling to Sacramento State 56-5 Saturday afternoon at The Nest in Sacramento.
The Vandals led much of the game but were never able to build a significant advantage. After entering the fourth quarter with a four-point lead, the Hornets hit back-to-back shots to tie the game.
After a back-and-forth battle, the Vandals went on an 8-0 run to take a 53-48 lead with 2:48 left in the game, but the Vandals wouldn't score again.
