MOSCOW, Idaho – Idaho men's hoops got the season started on the right foot, defeating Corban University 90-67 on Saturday evening in Memorial Gym.
"It's always good to get that first win," said head coach Don Verlin. "We made some adjustments at halftime and they executed. We had some silly fouls. Some poor discipline on the defensive end got us into those positions, with the foul trouble, and we had to fight through it."
Four Vandals finished in double-figures, led by Victor Sanders' 19. Sanders played just 20 minutes on the night due to foul trouble, but managed to stay in rhythm and lead the squad in scoring.
