MOSCOW, Idaho – Idaho Vandal men's golf was one of just 25 NCAA schools to have at least five players earn College Golf Coaches Association of America Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar honors for 2023-24. The Vandals also earned GCAA Presidents Special Recognition for Outstanding Team Academic Award given to teams with at least a 3.5 team GPA.
Big Sky Individual Champion Joe Sykes, Johannes Hounsgaard, Matt McGann, Dalton Sean and Sam Johnson all earned All-America Scholar honors. To earn the honor, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their associate's degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA.
