COLFAX, Wash. – The Idaho cross country men finished second and the women third at the Cougar Classic hosted by Washington State at the Colfax Golf Club.
On the men's side, Gonzaga finished with the top seven spots to earn the win, but the Vandals finished in front of Washington State and Eastern Washington.
Tim Stevens and Shea Mattson led the Vandal men. Stevens crossed the line on the 8K course with a time of 24:49.5 edging out Mattson by 7/10s of a second for the No. 11 spot. Michael McCausland was 13th with a time of 24.
