Vandal Men Drop Tight Contest with Vikings

MOSCOW, Idaho – "The effort was there." Don Verlin is finally seeing things come together for his young Vandals despite the 67-65 loss against Portland State at home on Thursday night.

THE GAME

Idaho was the aggressor early, beating the Portland State press and getting good looks. The Vandals shared the ball well early, with seven guys getting a bucket in the first half, and six getting multiple. Idaho would get up by as many as nine in the first half, and took a 36-29 advantage into the locker room.

Portland State chipped away for much of the second half, but Idaho was able to stay ahead with clutch 3-pointers from the likes of Cameron Tyson, Trevon Allen and RayQuawndis Mitchell.
