SPOKANE—Idaho men's tennis wrapped up the fall season this weekend at Gonzaga's Bulldog Classic. Idaho had a pair of players reach the quarterfinals in their respective brackets.
Mark Kovacs and Lucas Coutinho represented the Vandals in quarterfinal play. Kovacs went 1-1 in the A bracket, starting the tournament with a first-round bye. Kovacs earned his win against Eastern Washington's Scott Paz to work his way into the final eight. His tournament came to a close with a 6-3, 6-3 loss to the eventual champions, Gonzaga's Ruadhan O'Sullivan.
Coutinho worked his way to the quarterfinals with two early wins in the B bracket.
