MOSCOW, Idaho - The Idaho cross country team opens the 2023 season Friday at the Clash of the Inland Northwest hosted by Eastern Washington in Cheney, Wash. The women's 4K is set to begin at 8:30 a.m. PT and the men's 6K following at 9 a.m.

The Vandal women enter the season ranked No. 12 in the NCAA D1 West Region and the men of Idaho at No. 14, rising two spots from the final rankings in 2022.
The Idaho men, who were picked to finish fourth in the Big Sky preseason poll, placed fifth at last year's Big Sky Championships and return three top-30 finishers in Lorenz Herrmann, Tim Stevens, and Shea Mattson.
