MOSCOW, Idaho- Two University of Idaho teams earned Public Recognition Awards from the NCAA Wednesday, thanks to their most recent multi-year Academic Progress Rate (APR) scores ranking in the top 10 percent of their sport nationally. Women's cross country and women's golf each garnered the honor, marking the first time in school history multiple Vandal programs received Public Recognition Awards in the same year.
"We are incredibly proud of our programs striving for academic excellence while competing for championships," said Acting Director of Athletics Pete Isakson. "The goal of Vandal Athletics is to offer our young men and women the resources and opportunities to succeed on the field, in the classroom and in the community.
