The Idaho swim and dive team had a tough trip south as they took on Cal State, Bakersfield and Hawai’i at a tri-dual on Saturday.
The Vandals (2-2, 0-1 BSC) had some individual success despite falling 152-147 to Cal State Bakersfield. Idaho was in it until the very end, as Bakersfield won the event with a victory in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The Roadrunners beat the Vandals by less than a tenth of a second in what would be the final event of the meet.
Plenty of Vandals put together impressive individual efforts in the meet.
Junior Emily Kliewer took home an individual win in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 57.
