CHANDLER, Ariz. - The University of Idaho men's golf team finally found its rhythm on the greens. The result was the Vandals trimmed 13 strokes off of their opening round of the Wyoming Cowboy Classic to put together a three-under 285.
"We putted much better in the afternoon," coach David Nuhn said. "We need another round tomorrow with four scores under par to move up the leaderboard."
Daniel Sutton was low for the day for the Vandals with rounds of 74-69 for a 143 and tie for 20th. Rylee Iacolucci (73-73) and Ian Kim (77-69) are tied for 45th with 146s, and Jake Scarrow's 74s for 148 put him in a tied for 63rd.
