OGDEN, Utah—Idaho outside hitter Kaela Straw was named Big Sky Offensive Player of the Week the conference announced on Monday. Straw's offensive prowess helped Idaho to a 2-0 weekend with wins at Southern Utah and Northern Arizona.
Straw, a junior outside hitter, totaled 43 kills on the weekend, 15 more than the next Vandal. She averaged 4.78 kills per set and hit an impressive .307 percent on the weekend. She opened the weekend with 22 kills in Idaho's 3-1 win at Southern Utah. She posted her third 20+ kill-match on Saturday. Straw led the Vandals with 21 kills in Idaho's 3-2 win over NAU.
