RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. - Freshman Colt Sherrell fired an even-par 72 Monday, in the opening round of The Farms Invitational to lead Idaho men's golf in its first outing of the spring season. The tournament, hosted by San Diego, was suspended during the second round due to darkness. Play will resume Tuesday, with the conclusion of the second round and the entirety of the third and final round.
Sherrell was one of 10 competitors in the field to post a 72 or better in the first round. It is his fifth score of even-par or better in 13 rounds as a Vandal.
