The Idaho comeback fell short at home in a 64-75 loss to the Southern Utah Lumberjacks Monday night.
The Vandals (4-17, BSC 1-9) have lost 13 of their past 14 games, their last win coming on January 3rd against Eastern Washington.
The Thunderbirds (10-10, BSC 5-6), in turn, snapped a three-game losing streak with their win on the road.
“We’re continuing to fight,” Idaho head coach Don Verlin said. “It’s obviously a tough stretch and no one wants it more than the guys in the locker room. We just have to keep fighting.”
The Vandals started Monday’s game aggressive and physical, making their presence known inside the paint to take an early 4-0 lead.
