OGDEN, Utah—Idaho sophomore Marianna Petrei continued her run through the Big Sky in 2017. The league rewarded her once again on Friday as the conferences' Most Valuable Player. The honor marks her second straight MVP recognition, becoming just the seventh player in Big Sky history to win multiple MVPs.
"This is a well-deserved accolade for Marianna," head coach Babar Akbar commented. "She is a fantastic tennis player as well as an outstanding student. She has proven over the last two years that she is deserving of this honor.
