OGDEN, Utah—Sophomore Marianna Petrei earned her second Big Sky tennis Player of the Week award on Wednesday the conference announced.
Petrei, an Udine, Italy native, earned a pair of No. 1 singles victories against North Dakota and Washington State to improve to 7-1 overall on the season. She teamed up with Lucia Badillos for a 6-1 win at No. 1 doubles over UND's Faith Lee and Preethi Kasilingam as the Vandals took the doubles point. Petrei then made quick work of Alyssa Wolf at No. 1 singles, dropping just two games in a 6-1, 6-1 decision.
